You name it, I frame it

When I visited Acropolis Museum last week, I browsed the Museum Shop. You can find lots of inspiration in all these art books. Sometimes you can find the best jewelery.* This time I only found a print I liked a lot. For 3€ it was a bargain, but my mother noticed that it resembled the paper place-mats from the Museum Cafe. We kindly asked the manager to give us some and guess what, he agreed. When we got back home, I popped it into an inexpensive Ikea frame and voilà!

It is a simplified plan of Parthenon. As for the dimensions the frame is 40cm x 50cm, which is not small at all. I love the color and the meaning. I think it will stay at my home office. What do you think? Is it weird to frame a place-mat? For me, everything is game!

* Benaki Museum has very beautiful things, but completely out of my price range. Click here to see for yourself!
