Today I am back in Trondheim, really to actually start this year. Today’s post is the second part of my food list. Answering these questions makes me really happy. It also makes me want some almond chocolate cake and some spicy tea, but that has to wait til later today. What is the first taste you remember?
French fries and fried eggs.
Which food brings back good memories?
Stracciatella Ice Cream
Something you didn’t like when you were young, but you like now?
Eggplants, bamias (or however else they’re called in English) and spinach.
What was your favorite treat when you were young?
Some small packages of chocolate spread (like nutella) that I would buy at the grocery store and eat immediately with a plastic spoon that was included in the package. Whatever these may be called, I have no idea, nor if they still exist.
Favorite treat before/after training?
I like to eat granola before training, or fruits with yogurt or cottage cheese. I don’t eat anything specific after training.
What is the strangest thing you have eaten?
Snails and reindeer, which is actually not that strange. Oh, wait! I’ve also had dog treats. Don’t ask…
Something you eat often?
I eat lentil soup once a month, an omelette almost every Saturday and the same breakfast day after day, a banana and an apple with yogurt.
What is your limit when trying new food?
I’m afraid it’s very low. I try to play it safe.
Something you’d like to eat that you haven’t eaten before?
Favorite ingredients ever.
Cinnamon and cocoa. I also like whatever fruit and vegetable is in season.
Sweet or savory?
Savory, 99% percent of the time.
What do you like to eat when you’re down?
Tomato noodle soup, a piece of almond chocolate cake and some spicy tea.
Dark chocolate, a glass of red wine, a cocktail here and there and kebab when I am in Greece.
